Typewriter Effect
A typewriter effect reveals text character by character from left to right, as if a machine is typing it, often with a blinking caret.
What is Typewriter Effect?
The typewriter effect is one of the oldest text animation ideas and still one of the most effective: characters appear in sequence with a caret, reading as someone (or something) typing the words live. It is the workhorse for terminal windows, document reveals, chat lines, and titles that want a deliberate, human pacing.

How do you make a typewriter effect?+
Reveal the text one character at a time with a constant rate, keep a caret blinking after the cursor position, and stop with the caret still blinking so the text reads as live.
How fast should a typewriter effect type?+
Reading pace is usually 30–50 characters per second on a promo, or a tick per character if you want a more mechanical feel. Long lines read better slightly faster with small pauses at punctuation.
What is the difference between typewriter and AI typing effects?+
